Safety (Where Is It?)

Not in public

For there are others there

Nor at home

For surely there are others near

Nor in solitude

Or you’ll drive yourself mad

It must not be in this world

For the body to find

It must be for our souls

When they leave this world behind.

  1. I agree, but to an extent. I think that our safest sanctuary is within ourselves, our minds, etc. However, that doesn’t protect us from others and we live in danger for every moment that we live. I don’t think one is truly safe until they leave this world. I guess it’s sort of a catch 22.

    1. I think we are afraid to create safe boundaries from others, I just wrote about boundaries actually, and how boundaries can kinda become walls
