Born with the gift of charm
He was blessed
At getting girls undressed
With a crooked smile
And false pretenses.
But who could resist
The undeniable charisma
Of this monster?
A lady killer
Stealing
Not their lives
But their self-worth.
There were none that could resist
Until the day
Casanova’s charm
Was directed at a woman
Who knew his tricks too well-
For she dabbled in lust just the same
And she twisted his game
Called out his name
And consumed him.
…someone to give as good as he gets…
Profound poetry 🙂
A scorcher to be sure! Too many of us have known “him”.
awesome – love the rhythm and word choice.
Interesting. Well done.
Love unrequited…is the sadness of inspiration.
superb 🙂

I knew a guy like that — yeah, the ladies loved him, and in the end he ended up getting married!
Saludos tig23. Thank you for liking my page! I really enjoy “and consumed him” finish here, which leaves me with the feeling of a just end for the old heart-breaker. I hope to see more of your work!
